Medical fitness testing is a mandatory requirement to obtain a UAE Residency Visa. It applies to all expatriates 18 years of age and older who intend to work or live in the UAE. Typically, medical fitness testing is done to assess the individual’s level of medical fitness to issue a new or renewed Residency Visa. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship demands a health certificate from a licensed medical facility approved by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

This service allows individuals to obtain a valid health certification following medical fitness testing to prove that they are free from communicable and infectious diseases. This enables the expatriate to obtain a permit to live within the UAE or renew their current visa. Medical examinations are an important requisite of the visa application process in Dubai, similar to other emirates. This ensures the health and safety of residents as well as visitors.
