If you’re a foreign national living in Dubai on a Residence Visa, you are permitted to sponsor your dependents through a UAE Family Visa. However, not everyone can have this opportunity to bring their dependents, as certain regulations need to be strictly followed. Requirements to Sponsor UAE Family Visa

To sponsor your family members for a Residence Visa in Dubai, you must be a resident with a valid residency permit issued by the Dubai immigration authorities. The sponsor must be the head of the household, like a parent or spouse.

For male expatriates, a minimum salary of AED 4,000 per month or AED 3,000 per month and accommodation by the company is compulsory.

For female expatriates, a minimum monthly salary of AED 10,000 or AED 8,000 plus accommodation from the employer is mandatory.

In addition, all family members must be over 18 and pass the medical fitness test for HIV and Tuberculosis facilitated by a government-approved health centre in Dubai.

Eligible Family Members:

The Family Residence Visa Dubai usually allows for the sponsorship of the following immediate family members:

  • Spouse (husband or wife)
  • Children (biological or adopted), including stepchildren
  • Parents (subject to certain conditions and requirements)

Required Documents for Family Visa in Dubai

The documents mentioned below is necessary to sponsor a Family Visa in Dubai

  • A valid Residence Visa of the sponsor along with his/her Emirates ID, passport copy, and Photo.
  • Passport copy and passport-size photo of the family members.
  • A MOFA-attested relationship certificate is required; for spouses, it would be a Marriage Certificate, and for children, it would be a Birth Certificate.
  • Labour Contract (MOHRE) of the sponsor in case of working in a mainland company.
  • Attested Salary Certificate from Free Zone authority in case the sponsor is working in a Free Zone company.
  • Residence-proof home, Ejari.
  • Latest DEWA Bill copy of the sponsor.
  • Last 3 Months Bank Statement of the sponsor.
